Here is how young Albert caught the biggest Largemouth Bass of his life. Yes I realize that we are mainly a saltwater fishing site but we do have some anglers that are freshwater enthusiasts plus it is about the kids anyway and I had to post this young fellas catch, freshwater or not. It is a catch that will keep him fishing the rest of his life, I am sure of it!
Here is how Albert's dad, Mr Gonzalez tells it.
I got my son Albert a new rod and reel for Christmas and took him out to try it. We went to this ressacca in Brownsville Texas called Rancho Viejo. He was out there casting while I was with my other boy trying to untangle his lure, and the next thing I know I heard a whole lot of screaming, I wasn't sure what was going on. I didn't know if he was excited or hurt the way he was screaming. So I ran to where he was and by then he already had landed this big bass. I asked what happend and he said that after 5 casts he thought he got hung up on the bottom so he pulled his rod real hard.
Then he said a big bass came flying out of the water, the biggest bass he had ever seen, so he started to tighten his drag and pulls him out of the water. Wow, im 35 years old and I have never experienced that big of a bass. And if anybody had to catch a fish that nice and that big I am glad it was my son. I am very proud of him and how he fought the fish all on his own. Great job son!
Congrats Albert on being the FinTalk.com Angler of the Month!
