I am new to the area. Live in New Jersey.Want to take my son and friends on a tuna charter to the canyons. Is there a good reason to drive all the way out to Montauk for a charter? How do other ports (NY & NJ) compare in price, time, and fish catching? Whats the min size boat for 6 guys to be comfortabe? What should I know / consider before choosing a charter? Thanks

Don't drive out to montauk!! By the time you wake up and drive 200 miles one way and $30 in tolls it's not worth it. If you are looking for a trip I run a 31ft Bertram out of Shark River Inlet. We can accommodate you up to five people. All bait, tackle, and ice included. You can email me...
