I was wondering if anyone here fishes lake erie or knows anything about it. My dad and I were considering a trip up to that region and we hear the walleye up there are great.

I have not fished the lake in a while but I am from Ohio (now live in VA due to the Military) and can tell you that the Walleye fishing up there is great. Buddy of mine who still lives up that way just got off a fishing trip a few weeks ago and had a good number over 21" in length.

The perch and smallmouth fishing can be good as well depending on where you go.

If you fish for Walleye I suggest stocking up on Erie Deerie inline spinners. They can be purchased through Bass Pro Shops and have been a staple of Lake Erie Walleye fishing for years.
