What size/type boat would you need to go from the cape (hyannis) to nantucket or martha's vinyard...I have a 20ft bow rider wondering if that would do the job or if i would probly end up at the bottom...

20 feet is a bit on the low side you would make it to marthas vineyard on a resonable day no problem but you will defaintly feel some hurt if the waves get above 2 feet (which they often do mid-day).. nantucket is a whole other story going their in a 20' foot boat is not impossible but is also not the greatest idea considering it is a 30+ mile trip depending on where you are exactly on the cape it also can get real bumping once you get passed the vineyard.. I would reccomend atleast a 23' boat for Nantucket and that would probably do the trick
