My personal hunting report for the season so far.

Well I haven't gotten to be in the woods near as much as id like or used to, because of my status as a college student haha. I was able to go home for a week over thanksgiving, and caught agood week of rifle season. I got home in time to hunt that Friday evening and shot a scrubby 7 pointer to clean up the gene pool a bit he had a very messed up rack and never would have been anything significant. Then i hunted every morning and evening all through the week to no luck, the deer were very scarce that week, they were still feeding in fields more so than browsing in the wood, i have little available field hunting spots so i didn't see many deer. Then on the second friday evening i called up a buddy of mine and talked him into hunting so we hunted over at his place, it was hard to get him away from the ladyfriend so i said hell bring her along, so out we went, about a 15 mins before dark i heard him shoot, so i says to myself hes got one, next thing i know two small deer show up out in the feild in front of me, i shoot one and the other runs about 20 yards and stops, looks around, MISTAKE, bang and that one falls too. so i end out the week with three in the freezer, not too bad considering the time i put in the woods. On top of it all i went coon hunting about every night shot 2 one night because we had someone who wanted some to eat.., the other times we left them up the trees. and one of the days after a sit in the deer stand in the morning i drove and met up with dad and a couple friends who were rabbit hunting and we had a good day we killed 6 rabbits that day. That was my break, im hoping to have just as much fun and get some hunting and everything in over my Christmas break which is only about a week away.
