Now all you Nor`easters are really in love with your Chesapeke Bay Bridge; that can be forgiven. But I`m telling all you snowbirds that you have no idea how much better the Seven Mile Bridge in the Florida Keys is.

There`s some God awful competition down there as to who`s bridge is the best. Here`s the Bahia Honda Bridge poop

"A friend of mine has a place in Key West and when we visit we always book a trip to tarpon fish from Bahia Honda. I have to say I enjoy those trips most of all. I just love sitting there waiting for the Silver King to fly out of the water on the other end of my line! And the challenge to get them to the boat is so exciting. I don’t know which is worse to face.... going in and out of the bridge or getting ravaged by the sharks!! Either way, it’s a great time. Alex and Jim are great captains to fish with. They are very knowledgeable about what they are doing, they work hard to get you fish and they are fun to fish with as well. Jennifer Brower"

This Jennifer chick is not exaggerating one bit! It`s Hell unleashed trying to catch this trash fish. You can catch much more than trashfish there too.

Silver Trashfish.

Food! Food! Permit will whup your ass too!

That`s Vaca Cut in the fore ground. This is Marathon; smack dab in the middle of the Key`s best fishing, and home of the Marathon Lady.

Two half day trips per day in the busy season, shitty weather (we won`t tell how bad it gets) or hungover Captain John Brown, former Skipper of a smaller vessel. Eighty bucks for 8-10 hours is a steal.

Respectable bull Dolphin; offshore Marathon.

In all truth, you should look for bigger Common Snook closer to Miami and even beyond.

It just occurred to me - I'd heard that it's against the law to even lift Goliath Grouper from the water.

Nice picture. Very Happy

It is unlawful to remove them from the water. This does not appear to stop a lot of people from deliberately targeting Goliath Grouper and hauling them out for a picture.

waoo i found some lovely posts here.. about fishes and bridges, after viewing this all i am also planning to go for fishing or some adventures tour

Yes sir; as a native Floridian, I though it only proper that I should use scantily clothed split tail fisher folk to draw attention to where I lived and fished for almost three years. I was the second mate on the old Marathon Lady for two seasons. The third year`s number of fisher folk dropped, and the skipper let me go. I went to work in Bayliss Boat Yard and stayed on for six more months. Hey; you ought to see what you can catch around the docks in the keys sneaking around in a 13` Boston Whaler.
You see one of these 4 sale, grab it! Shocked
All it is is an unsinkable platform that will not suuuuck fuel; if you`re smart enough to trade that Merc 40 for a good 25.

I have had tarpon on in Vaca Cut. Like holding onto a freight train. I love it when they take the bait they give you a big flash in the sunlight.
