Okay fellas...dont make fun of this as i know the Halibuts up nawth are HUGE.
Here I caught my first halibut! I was so excited when i saw it was a halibut that i didnt even wait for it to be netted out of the water.... i just went up and over! Yeah yeah i know could have lost it...will never do it again but i was EXCITED! It measured about 24 inches long but I was not able to weigh it. To makes this even sweeter for me, i won the jackpot! Went out again on Saturday and won the jackpot again with a sand bass! now it is two times in a row! Lets hope i set the record this saturday and winn it three times in a row! that would be soething i will tell my grandchirldren!
After landing the But I was literally jumping up and down on the deck of the boat with ppl thinking i had gone crazy...but i told them that all along i have had this dream of catching a halibut one day and it has just come through!
It was nail biting suspense when it was being measured for being legal and when the deck hand yelled legal! I was in heaven.
Rest of the trip i was fishing, grinning ear to ear!

Well then, get your fanny up to Morro Bay with a boat. This year the White Sea Bass have been feeding on SAAArdines. The great part of using live `dines is that the bait`s as tasty as the catch. First green buoy inside the harbor past the Coast Guerd pier when leaving on your starboard side. There are buts on the bottom too. I`ll wager Avila Beach is hot too.
