Alabama Charters Category Getaway Charters has been offering some of the finest Alabama deep sea fishing in Orange Beach, Alabama for over 10 years. We are located near Gulf Shores Alabama and Pensacola Florida. We welcome families as well as small groups up to six people. You may choose a half day trip or our premium 12 hour trip. We make it our goal to get you to the fish and make your fishing charter one that you will remember. Our 4 hour trip is great for the group or family that is looking for a half day of fun and fishing. We have a morning trip and an afternoon trip. The spanish mackerel bite is usually good from mid March through October. King mackerel usually appear along the beaches by early April. Don't forget the big cobia(ling) in late March through late April as they migrate west along the beautiful beaches of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, Alabama. On the 6 hour trip from April 21st through October 31st, we troll for mackerel in addition to bottomfishing for red snapper. This is a great family charter or a fun half day trip for the guys or any group. On our 6 hour trip from March through April 20th, we fish for redfish, mackerel and jack crevalle on our nearshore trips. 8 and 10 hour trips available upon request. The 12 hour trip has been our big hit, catching large grouper up to 48lbs, amberjack up to 78lbs and some large snapper. . We catch variety on this trip. There is always a chance of catching a king mackeral or wahoo on any of our trips. We do 12 and 14 hour offshore trolling trips for king mackeral, wahoo, dolphin(mahi mahi) and always a chance to hook up a tuna or a marlin. I also do 24 hour overnight tuna trips to the oil platforms 70 - 80 miles offshore, but can only accommodate 4 anglers due to sleeping space. I fish out of a 2007 Ranger Banshee Extreme, drafting only 6 inches and needing close to the same to run in. This boat is equipped to hold two anglers plus myself. This boat comes fully rigged for a Pro. Having a friendly Yamaha 50HP 4- stroke you will be able to enjoy the surroundings and feel more at home with the Lagoon and the animals that make it their home. On the Lagoon there are no buildings or seawalls to disturb this wilderness beach on Florida's east coast. Here at the national seashore and wildlife refuge, nature affirms its spirit and lives in harmony with human technology. I use Shimano Stradic reels with ST. Croix rods, topped with PowerPro line. I also have a large selection of lures to choose from. Or if you have a favorite rod and reel, then bring it. Every one has old faithful!! I am fully licensed by the USCG and fully insured. I am also fully licensed to be allowed and permitted to guide within the National Park.(It is always a good practice when hiring a guide to be sure they have all of the necessary licenses/insurances.) I will supply all of the tackle and fishing licenses required. You need only bring a good pair of polarized glasses, sunscreen, food(or snack) and water, great attitude, hat and of course a camera. I offer full day, split day , evening, and eco/sight seeing tours. This is an adventure you can book for your wife, husband, kids, mom, dad, friend, brother or sister... or just yourself.
