Fishing Report: There is a tog and striper bite starting and it should only get better as the fall rolls on.
Stripers are being caught in the 20- 30lb range and even some bigger have been reported.
Tog fishing is also doing well and there are days that are better than others.

Fishing Report: Welcome aboard the Miss Rilee
July 8 2009
Well it has been a while and I hope from this point on I can keep them coming. Just like the fishing has done .
I fished a few weekends ago with a crew fromPA John brought the guys down for some flounder action and they were handed some interesting weather from this beautiful sunrise
to some of the worst rains and thunderstorms I've been in one the water.
But all in all the guys said they wanted to stay and we caught around 30 flounder and kept 5 on the day.
These fish were worth every ounce since mother nature let us have it.
This past weekend Friday July 3rd and Saturday July 4th we were joined by a crew from the Virginia area except one from Washington state, Bryan Roberts and crew joined us for two days of fishing and it showed the beginning of some nice fishing.
Friday decided to stay in the bay for some croaker slash whatever bites fishing. We ended up drifting over structure and caught the croakers we were looking for. The size is still on the small side but the 150-200 fish we caught kept the day alive. By days end we fished on the anchore and ended up with 9 different species of fish
Croaker, flounder, sea bass, sand shark , oyster crackers, small bluefish, skate, sand tiger shark and the rare sea trout made an appearance.
Peter Omel and Bryan Roberts nice

Fishing Report: Well another weekend has come and gone and what a weekend. Started off working for another captain and had a no dru, catch in the am trip. We were able to produce sand sharks and skates and the folks were happy to bend the rod.
The afternoon trip was a little different, Had a bunch from the Lancaster area for a late afternoon/evening trip.
We started off catching skates and sharks and the thought of sitting there for 5 more hours with only that was not good.
All of a sudden the fire drill had started, the first rod goes off and it was the far line and it goes one way and then the short line goes the other, boy let me tell you when you raise your voice and let them know we have 2 hooked people move.
The 2nd fish hooked came in first after asbout 20 minutes it was the smaller of the two.
Tim Nixon of Gap landed this 63 lb. fish, his first drum fish.
Well Richard Mease of Holtwood was still fighting his fish, his fish at one point just about spooled him and we were able to persuade the fish to come back before it took all the line. After the first fish was landed it took about 5-10 more minutes to land the second fish.
Richards fish weighed in at 79 lbs. and this also was his first drum.
That was it for the night but the fun kept going till every one headed back home.
On Sunday I fished with the other captain again and started off for drum but ended the day flounder fishing.
We were

Fishing Report: This past weekend May 16, 2009 the charter started out of Lewes Delaware in search of the Black Drum. I decided to head up to the coral beds to give it a try. I searched around and found some good marks and dropped the anchore. We settled in and before the lines hit the water we could hear the big boomers under the boat.
Finally got the lines in the water and we were hooked up again and again with the pesky sand sharks. We seemed to have hit the mother load on these average to 5 foot in length sharks. Finally it happened, we hooked one, 15 minutes later there it was 40lb. drum in the boat. Not much longer number two was hooked and landed, 15 lb fish this time but that was it.
Had a great day on the water and came home with 2 drum and plenty of sand sharks all day to keep us busy.
On the other hand I heard of the flounder action picking up and the sea bassing is hot if you want to catch and weed threw them to find a few keepers.

Fishing Report: At Cedar Creek Bait and Tackle, Tom reports drum fishing has been hot with a mix of rock coming in. The largest drum weighed in on Friday was 81.5 lbs. On Saturday, the weather was fine and drum were being “read” on everyone’s screen but the bite just didn’t happen. It wasn’t just with the drum, it seemed as if the DE Bay shut down. No fish until Capt. Neil Bupp of the Capella called at 7p saying he was coming in around 8p with drum. The bite only turned on after 5p with the boat coming in with one lone drum weighing 63.8 lbs. This weekend and next week will be the best drum fishing the season has to offer. Don’t forget to call by Tuesday to guarantee your surf clams, clam logs, and clam bellies. You won’t have to travel any further than the Coral Beds which is only 3.8 miles outside their inlet. Check out their website for recent and citation catches at www.cedarcreekbaitntackle.com.
On Monday Capt. John Walter and sister Kristy fished for tog at Site #7 using green crabs on the outgoing tide and Kristy boated a 7.0 lb citation tog with a 17 ½” girth that was 21” long. They came ashore with a total of 4 tog. Bill Zimmerman also fished Site #7 and reported 4 tog but no keepers. On Tuesday, Eric Morrow fished the Coral Beds with clams and brought in a citation 37.1 lb striper that was 43” long with a 26 ½” girth. Tom and Pat Morini fished the Horseshoe area and came up empty; they were in the wrong place. Brian and Mike Logue had action one day and came

Fishing Report: At Cedar Creek Bait and Tackle, Tom reports the weather during the first 2 weeks in April kept most DE boaters landlocked due to high winds and cold, rainy days; had all of us wondering, “When is it(good fishing weather) going to start?” We got our answer on Friday, followed by a beautiful day on Saturday. Stripers up to 30 lbs were being taken on clams, bloodworms, and bunker. Saturday’s catch was caught while trolling the Brown Shoal, watching as a parade of 6-8 stripers were following a hooked fish right up to the boat. If you’re ever lucky enough to have this happen and he knows it’s tough not to get too excited – if you’re fishing with others on your boat, tell the net man to grab his rod and a small handful of bait. Loosen your drag a little, keeping the hooked fish and the “schoolies” close to the boat without spooking them. Toss a little chum, whatever you have and get everyone to throw out a line; chances are great everyone will hookup. Friday and Saturday they had 3 flounder come in, all over 6 lbs, all from in and around the rips at the Brown Shoal. These flats were fat and aggressively taking baits meant for stripers: mullet, cut spot, bloodworms, and clam. The guys targeting tog had great success. Randy Ritz started the action on Friday, bringing in their first fish of the season, coming in with his limit of tog from Site #7. Brian and Mike Logue also boated 2 tog in the 5 lb range. On Saturday, Capt. Art Coleman III and Art Coleman IV, fishing with
