Monroe reservoir: The crappie are back in the deeper water now, well at least the nicer ones are. You can always catch small crappie in shallow water fish in 12ft. between 6 and 10 ft, .Pine Grove area, bass, catfish, and a few bluegills being caught. Mostly small ones.
Patoka lake: Fishing has slowed with the hot temperatures. Lake level is at 538.1. Surface temperature is near 85 degrees, and it's 68 degrees at 20 feet. The Corps is releasing 99cfs. There was a 6 pound bass caught this morning. Bait - Srike King Rage Shad . We just ran this Top Water Shad across all the weedbeds on the main lake that we could find . The bite was good for the first two hours after daylight and then dropped off quickly after that . The thickest patches of weeds seem to be best . Water temp. was reading 80 degrees .
Summit Lake: The lake is full, the ramps are in good shape, and the fishing has slowed due to hot weather but fishing gets better with each weather change. Some fishermen do well at night for crappie, bass and catfish. Bluegill and crappie have made up most of the catch
Lake John Hay: crappie fishing reported to be good
Starve Hollow: Poor for all fishing.
White river Indianapolis: Smallmouth bass are on the bite. Small spinnerbaits, small crankbaits are catching fish.

Fishing Report: Tributaries off Lake Michigan are all producing fish. Steelhead, coho and Kings moving in.
Lake Michigan reports good smallmouth fishing.
Surface water temperature in the harbor at Michigan City is 60 F as of 10/15/07
A total of 1,466 salmonids have been counted moving through the South Bend fish ladder as of October 4.
