Fishing Report:   Star Fish went fishing on Saturday Nov 7 and Sunday Nov 8. The striped bass are here in the back bay in the rips and in the white water. Saturday the weather was beautiful with a clear sky and bright sun. We anchored in the white water and opened up our bushel of clams, using them as chum as well as for bait. We also used eels and fresh bunker. We caught keeper bass on bunker chunks and clams. David Oppenheim of Voorhees NJ caught first his first striped bass, a short by ˝ inch and then about 15 minutes later he caught his first keeper striper, while his dad watched with a smile.

Sunday was more of the same, except the fish were larger, and we had some monster blue fish mixed in. The blues seemed to favor of fresh bunker chunks. While we were fishing we heard more reports of big blues up the beach. We will save that for another day.

Fishing Report:   We went out on the Cindy Lou with 10 fishermen from the Lakewood Elks on Saturday the 18th. The weather was clear with temps in the high 70's with the water temp showing 73 degrees. West wind -- seas were a slight swell with an outgoing tide. We started fishing @ the Sea Girt Reef but could not hold bottom with 11 oz weights -- due to the fact the wind was West with an outgoing tide. We moved inshore by the Essex Sussex Hotel and we picked up some short Fluke -- Sea Robins and a few sandsharks -- We Then went to the Red Church by Long Branch but the bottom was to rough for Fluking so we went off shore a bit to about 70' of water and we hit paydirt. We picked up a few keeper Fluke(18inch) -- also Sea Bass -- Ling -- Bluefish -- Sea Robins -- Sandsharks -- Skates -- and the poolwinner a 22 1/2 inch Fluke -- A Great Day on the Water -- anyone interested in a trip call us @ 888-227-1167 or go to our website @ ------------------ www.vikingmarineenterprise.com --- Be Safe Out There

Fishing Report:   We had a party out on Saturday 11th and Monday 13th both days we started @ the mouth of Manasquan Inlet -- we hooked up with Bluefish right @ the tip of the North Jetty as soon as the jigs hit the water -- we boated a few nice fish and then we moved out to Sea Girt Reef -- the water was clear -- 72' and the temp was in the 70's. We hooked up with a bunch of short Fluke with 1 keeper-- also a bunch of nice Sea Bass -- + Sea Robins -- Skates -- Ling and Sandsharks. On Monday's trip we made the mistake of going to the Manasquan Bell on the way in to see what was around -- we had 11 people fishing and everyone had at least 2 if not more Skates before we got out of there. Still it was a nice day on the water. Anyone interested call 888-227-1167 or on our web

Fishing Report:
Despite several days of heavy rain, the boats of the Beach Haven Charter Fishing Association have been able to get some trips in and catch some fish.
Captain Fran Verdi on the “Cousins” had a couple of parties out last weekend after stripers in the Great Bay area. Captain Fran took Nick Rausch and Frank Marrazza to the Graveling point area in dense fog. After fishing an hour of the incoming tide the tide went slack, and a rod doubled over producing a 29-inch striper for the fish box.
Things then slowed again until the tide started out. One fish was brought to the boat but spit the hook. It looked to be short but it was going to be close. Then a combination of increasing winds against the tide made fishing difficult the rest of the day.
Captain Adam fished the next day with the Rob Fraley Party. They set up at Graveling Point and had the incoming tide to work with for about three hours. After 30 minutes a line went down and it was the first striper of the day, a 32-incher was landed.
The tide went slack and they had a doubleheader on with Rob getting his first keeper striper ever. His fish was 31-inches, but the other fish was a very short 10-inches. Ironically that angler’s nickname was “Tiny.”
The boats of the BHCFA that fish the ocean reefs and wrecks are encouraged over the early showing of some decent sea bass fishing.
On Saturday May 9, the “Miss Beach Haven” with Captain Frank Camarda covered a lot of ground

Fishing Report:   We had the Knights of Columbus from St.Anne's Parish in Garwood,NJ aboard the Cindy Lou on Friday the 17th. We fished clams and Sandworms in the Metedeconk River off of Dale's Basin @ the mouth of the Pt.Pleasant Canal and then North of the Mantoloking Bridge. At the end of the day we went home with some FAT 14 inch Winter Flounder. We had to anchor to fish and the wind was a little stiff -- the water temp was 52o and the tide was incoming. All in all it was a fine day. call us @ 888-227-1167. We will fish flounder for the balance of the season -- also blues will be in the Metedconk River the middle of next month-- that is always a good time fishing. Be Safe -- Capt.Rich Galauski

Fishing Report:   Went down to IBSP off of Two Bit Rd. As we crested the dune from the parking lot, you could see the schools of Bunker flying out of the water as the BIG blues were having their way. My 17Y/O was the first line in and got immediately cut off. My second cast produced a nice 7.5Lb. I was using a white Gotcha for most of the day, with a yellow Bomber once that slowed. It was non-stop from there and we caught and released several more. As the sun set, we started with clams on the bottom about 30 yards from the beach, which produced several nice keeper sized Strippers...All were released except for two 27" keepers. No shorts in the group and a couple that if I'd had a stamp, would've been OK.

Fishing Report:   Helllo All,
Well the new Henriques 42 still proves to be a fish magnet. On Saturday the 16th we ventured out to the tip of the Wilmington Canyon. Fishing started at 7:30 in blue/green 75 degree water. There was really no sign of life. In the first half hour we managed to hook up on a triple header yellowfin and boated all three up to forty pounds. As soon as we got our baits set up a white marlin was all over our squid teasers but would not eat anything. Fishing slowed until 12:00 when we boated a nice bull dolphin pulled out from under a pot marker. Right after that another white came up on our squid teasers and proceeded to destroy all our baits until he was finally hooked and released. All fish were caught on naked and skirted ballhoo.

Fishing Report:   Hello All,
Henriques 42 ventured out to the 500 fathom line of the Wilmington Canyon today (July 11) we actually started at the tip and worked our way down the west wall and out to the 500 line. There was plenty of life there, sailor gulls, porpoises, hammerheads, and lots of squid boats. The water was blue/green and averaged 72-73 degrees. However the warmer cleaner water was inshore on the forty line. We trolled ballyhoo, daisy chains, swimming mullets and spreader bars. We managed to boat one nice yellowfin. Petra reeled it in and got her first tuna. Not quite sure but think we had a white marlin bite at the end of the day on a spreader down the middle. The seas were calm, flat calm. The life was there but the fish were not cooperative. I would suggest using downriggers to get your baits or lures fifty - sixty fieet down because that's where we had strong blips on the depth finder.
