Fishing Report: August fishing was much like June fishing - I had great speckle trout trips. We are doing very good on live mullet shad and croaker. I am still fishing in 15 to 40 ft of water. The specks are going to start releasing there eggs about the middle of the month. Best baits have been mullet croaker and I am free lining with small weight. Catching nice specks up to 6 lb. This bite will probably be the last until the first cold front comes in hard. Brides not doing so good in the lake but watch out next month the bride action going to be great and flounder fishing is picking up. I will fish then this week also some big fish have started moving in and we will be there for the fall run. Good fishing Capt. Randy Foreman |
