Fishing Report:
Striper Fishing in the Chesapeake Bay - 11/27
We are now fishing out of VA Beach through the middle of April 2006. Today, we welcomed Mr. Al Neal and friends for a total of 10 anglers. It was a decent day weather wise. Zach Sleepy Stauffer served as today’s 1st Mate (pictured on far right, in rear).
We trolled in the vicinity of the 3rd and 4th islands of the CBBT for the first part of the day. We caught 20 beefy Striped Bass (Rockfish) (our limit) plus our 4 boat fish ranging from 23 up to 40. We also released quite a few 18 - 23 Rockfish as we were trying to save spots for more overs.

We took our Rockfish back into port and then went back out in the afternoon for a Bluefishing trip out to the CBBT. We trolled and caught 9 big Bluefish from 29 - 35.
Rockfish Fishing in Virginia Beach 11/28
Today, we welcomed Mr. Jeff Gearhardt and friends from Baltimore, MD for a total of 8 anglers. It was a decent day weather wise. Zach Sleepy Stauffer served as today’s 1st Mate (pictured in rear).

We trolled in the vicinity of the 3rd and 4th islands of the CBBT. This day was, by far, our best of the Fall 2005 campaign. We caught about 40 corpulent Striped Bass
(Rockfish) (keeping our limit of 16 plus 4 boat fish) ranging from 23 up to 40. We also released quite a few 18 - 23 Rockfish as we were trying to save spots for more overs.
CBBT Striper Fishing in Virginia Beach 11/29
Today, we welcomed Jeff Leitch and the gang from Bay Shore Marine in Annapolis, MD for a total of 9 anglers. It was quite choppy, but not as bad as the weatherman had called for. We did see Ralph, The Car Salesman, and Earl (much to the Captains’ delight), however. Zach Sleepy Stauffer chose not to post for today’s shift, as we waited 35 minutes for our illustrious 1st Mate, but no show…reports from Murphy’s Irish Pub had him passed out behind the service bar at closing….grrrrrrr. Thanks a million to all in the party for help with the lines in some really tough conditions.
We trolled in the vicinity of the 3rd and 4th islands of the CBBT. We caught about 30 corpulent Striped Bass (Rockfish) (keeping our limit of 18 plus two boat fish) ranging from 22 up to 35. I thought the day was starting off on a bad omen when our 1st fish of the day was a slot release of 28.5. Other slot fish releases served for more aggravation…We also released quite a few 18 - 22 Rockfish as we were trying to save spots for more overs.

CHesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel Striped Bass 11/30
Today, we welcomed 5 walk ons for our 1st VA Beach put together trip including Harry (Harmat on TF) and 4 of T.J’s surf fishing buddies from Hatteras, NC. Also making a cameo appearance was Zach Sleepy Stauffer and his wife/fiancée/girlfriend Liz for a total of 7 anglers. T.J. Reiber served as 1st Mate today (pictured on far right). It was a nice day in the morning but the winds picked up from the NE big time around noon.
We trolled in the vicinity of the 3rd and 4th islands of the CBBT. We caught about 40 portly Striped Bass (Rockfish) (keeping our limit of 14 plus one boat fish) ranging from 18 up to 37. We released 2 slot fish of 33.5 and 29. We kept 3 over fish of 34.5, 36, and 37. We also quite a few 18 - 23 Rockfish as we were trying to save spots for more overs.
