Alabama Deep Sea Fishing in the Fall and Winter
Alabama Deep Sea Fishing can be great in the fall and winter. You can expect to catch a variety of fish on the longer trips. Some of the fish may include red grouper, gag grouper, scamp, vermillion snapper, white snapper, triggerfish and amberjack.

Do you spend many of your summers at the beach with your family or friends ? Do you enjoy deep sea fishing during the summer ? Many people would answer yes to these questions. But have you ever been deep sea fishing in the fall or winter ? Many people would answer no to this question. You may be missing out on some great fun and fishing during a wonderful time of the year. During the winter, many people are fortunate enough to travel south to a much warmer climate in places such as the Caribbean, Central America or even South America.

However, this may not be affordable or may not fit into your winter schedule. Have you ever thought of traveling to the Alabama Gulf Coast in November, December, January or February ? I can give you many reasons for traveling to the Alabama Gulf Coast in the winter. The weather is usually pleasant. There is tasty fresh gulf seafood without the long wait at your favorite restaurants. You can enjoy a peaceful stroll along the beaches or browse the many new shops along the Alabama Gulf Coast.

And what about fishing ? Alabama Deep Sea Fishing can be great in the fall and winter. You can expect to catch a variety of fish on the longer trips. Some of the fish may include red grouper, gag grouper, scamp, vermillion snapper, white snapper, triggerfish and amberjack. A 10 hour trip is usually needed to catch this kind of variety. If this is too long to be on the water, you may choose a 4 or 6 hour near shore trip for big redfish. Mackerel can also be caught up to early December.

This is a relaxing trip as we slow troll along the beaches of Orange Beach and Gulf Shores, Alabama. You can enjoy some sightseeing as we wait for the big bite from one of the many lures that trail behind the boat. You may choose your favorite music or your favorite football game from our satellite stereo system. How about fishing, football and enjoying your favorite food such as gumbo and fresh gulf shrimp right on the back deck of the boat. Maybe you would like to fish a short trip in the morning and enjoy your favorite football game at one of many local restaurants or just relax at your condo. This can be a great trip for a couple, friends or family.

The winter cold fronts approach the Alabama Gulf Coast regularly but do not always bring cold weather. If you book a 10 hour trip and the north wind creates rough seas then there is an option. Most of our wind in the winter is from the north and our beaches lie from east to west. When the north wind blows we usually enjoy nice flat, calm seas along the beach where we troll for redfish and mackerel. This makes a great option to a planned 10 hour deep sea fishing trip when the seas are too rough to travel offshore. We are all about fun and comfort and we never encourage you and your group to fish in rough seas.

Remember the many things you can do on the Alabama Gulf Coast. You can dine, shop, relax, stroll along the beach , take in a movie, enjoy a nice concert at the new amphitheatre located at the Wharf and of course, go fishing. Whether you choose a full week or a short weekend, make your plans to take a well deserved break in the fall or winter and travel to the beautiful Alabama Gulf Coast.
